1. Preliminary Examination

Total Marks: 200
Duration: 2.5 Hours

English Composition (25 marks)

Current Events (25 marks)
History of India (25 marks)
Geography of India (25 marks)
Indian Polity & Economy (25 marks)
General Mental Ability (25 marks)
West Bengal-specific topics (25 marks)

2. Mains Examination

Compulsory Papers (for all candidates):

Paper I: Bengali/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Nepali/ Santali (300 marks)
Paper II: English (300 marks)
Paper III: General Studies I (300 marks)
Paper IV: General Studies II (300 marks)
Paper V: Constitution & Economy (300 marks)
Paper VI: Arithmetic & Reasoning (200 marks)
Optional Papers: (Only for Group A & B)
Two papers from a selected subject (each 200 marks)

3. Personality Test (Interview)

Group A & B: 200 Marks
Group C: 150 Marks
Group D: 100 Marks
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Indian citizen

Age Limit:

Group A & C: 21-36 years
Group B: 20-36 years (for WB Police Service)
Group D: 21-39 years
(Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per government rules)
Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized university
